The following is a media release from Australian University Sport (AUS) relating to the NSW Universities squad to play QLD University at Ziems Park, Corrimal on Wednesday 14th July at 7pm. Port Kembla's Juita Suka, West's Brendan Reeves, Dapto's Steven Carlon, Thirroul's Joel Attenborough and Ryan Smith from Helensburgh are all a part of the team looking to knock of Queensland for the first time in ten years. NSW vs QLD UNIVERSITY CLASH Australian University Sport (AUS) is thrilled to announce Wollongong as the host to this year’s NSW vs. QLD University Clash. This free event is to be staged on Wednesday 14th July, 2004 at Ziems Park, Short St, Corrimal (Wollongong), kick off at 7pm. Be at the match between 6.30 – 7pm and you will be in the chance to win one of the following prizes: -

Braunmann Last Friday, 2nd July, saw the NSW University squad beating the visiting international UK Army squad, with the final score 22-20. ‘It was a great game and was a perfect warm up to the NSW vs QLD match on Wednesday night’ Daniel Cullen, NSW University Manager. Congratulations to the local Wollongong players Brendon Reeves (West’s) (Former Manly Warringah Sea Eagles), Suka Ratu (aka Sugar) (Port Kembla), Joel Attenborough (Thirroul), Ryan Smith (Helensburgh) and Steven Carlon (Dapto). For the last 10 years QLD have won but the tables are about to turn!
