Two more Reps Named |
Port Kembla has had the distinction of having an additional two first graders named to the Illawarra Representative team to play Western Division in Bathurst this Saturday. With Andrew and Grant Bobbin, Michael O'Sullivan and Adam Bennett (lock) already in the squad, backrower Simon Smith and centre Craig Simon have received a call up to cover late withdrawals from the team Craig Simon makes a return to the team he helped win the 2002 NSW Country Championship while Simon Smith makes his first appearance for the Divisional Squad. Both bring their own individual qualities to an already strong squad which promises much in the 2003 Country Championships. The additional selections also mean that Port will have up to six players backing up on the Sunday to face Wests at Parrish Park after having played against Western Division the previous day. If successful against Western Division, The Illawarra Divisional team will progress to the semi finals of the Country Chamionships and will face the possibility of a home semi final. The Under 18's Representative team will also play Saturday, however their game will be played at WIN stadium as a lead up to the Dragons versus Bulldogs NRL match. The game will include Port Kembla five-eighth Tim Clayton and Lock Glenn Pestana. |
